UPDATE (8:49 p.m. Saturday)—Baltimore County Police identified the postal worker killed in a Saturday morning collision in Cockeysville.

Bruce Robert Deutser, 62, of the 17400 block of Bushland Road, was delivering mail at the time of the crash, according to the police.

According to a release, Deuster's mail truck and a black Dodge pick-up truck, operated by Delaware resident Dale Chesser, collided around 11:35 a.m. Saturday in the 3100 block of Monkton Road in Cockeysville— near the St. James Academy.

A police investigation revealed that the mail truck was slowing down to make a left turn when Chesser tried to pass it on the left side, striking the left rear corner of the mail vehicle causing it to roll, ejecting Deutser into the roadway.
