Warren Road Walgreens To Open Next Year

You might have driven past this construction site at the intersection of York and Warren roads in Cockeysville a few times and wondered what's happening there.

Here's your answer: a Walgreens store is being built and the company is looking to open the shop early next year, according to Walgreens corporate spokeswoman Emily Hartwig.

"Construction has started, they're planning to open early next year," she said. "It will likely be that as we get closer to the beginning of next year we’ll have more information."

Back in January, Patch editor Nick DiMarco wrote that  Lutherville-based Mullan Contracting is carrying out work on the 13,000 square-foot store that will occupy the former site of a gas station.

At the time the "two-story building, which will feature exposed ceilings and polished concreteflooring" was scheduled for completion in Fall 2013.
