Baltimore County Police Officer Injured in Car Crash

Officer has been taken to Maryland Shock Trauma.

A Baltimore County police officer was injured Friday in a two-vehicle accident at Ingleside Avenue and Johnnycake Road in Woodlawn just north of Catonsville.  The accident happened at 4:31 p.m. The officer has been taken to Maryland Shock Trauma, according to a dispatch officer in the police department.  He was transported in an ambulance with non life-threatening injuries, according to county dispatch. The intersection is currently closed for police investigation.

Reward Offered for Info About Commercial Burglary Suspect

Police have identified a man they believe is responsible for a series of office burglaries across Baltimore County.

Baltimore County police are asking for the public's help in locating a man they believe is responsible for a series of commercial burglaries across Baltimore County. A man identified by police only as "Billy Evans" (see photo) has been linked to burglaries in Lutherville-Timonium, Reisterstown and, most recently, Catonsville.  "The burglaries are occurring during the evening and overnight hours, when the suspect gains access to the businesses by prying doors or breaking door glass," reads a Baltimore County police release. "Money and checks, computer equipment, and food have been taken during some of the burglaries, and nothing at all was taken in several of the crimes." Speed Camera on South Rolling Road Torched

The camera was at the newest location at the intersection of Brook Road and Gary Drive on South Rolling Road.

The speed camera on South Rolling Road was destroyed after vandals set fire to the metal box early Friday morning, according to police. The act comes a week after the speed camera and cement pad were installed by the county at the intersection of Brook Road and Gary Drive on South Rolling Road.  Officials had added the third site along South Rolling Road after many residents complained about excessive speeding along that stretch of the road. Police received a call at 1:40 a.m. for a fire along the 400 block of South Rolling Road, according to police spokeswoman Elise Armacost.
