Get into the fall spirit by visiting a pumpkin patch, enjoying a hayride and stuffing a scarecrow at these family-friendly Baltimore County farms.

Weber's Cider Mill Farm Inc. in Parkville 

In addition to fresh produce at the farm market and cider mill and yummy desserts at the country bakery, Weber's also offers fall harvest days and a pumpkin festival. Enjoy hay rides, hay maze, barnyard fun, cider doughnuts, caramel apples, Weber's own BBQ turkey, and more.

Rogers Farms (formerly North Run Farm) in Stevenson 

Fall fun including corn maze, hay rides, pick your own pumpkins, hay bale maze, fruits, vegetables, flowers, farm animals, fall decorations, cider. Hours of operation are: Fridays 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. with hayrides from 1 p.m. til 5 p.m.; Saturdays & Sundays  10 a.m. until 6 p.m. with hayrides from 11 a.m. til 5 p.m. Please plan to arrive at least 1 hour prior to closing.

Huber's Farm in Kingsville

Every weekend in October, Huber's Farm offers pick your own pumpkins, scarecrow making and hayrides (including a haunted hayride).

With a short drive, you can partake in the fun on one of these farms that also offer pumpkin picking, hayrides and other fall fun.

In Carroll County, Baugher’s Orchard (1236 Baugher Rd, Westminster) Take a fun wagon ride to pick your own pumpkins (and apples, too). Open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on weekends in October. A free walk-in petting zoo is open until Oct. 31 as well as other fun fall family activities. Phone: 410-848-5541

In Howard County, Clark’s Elioak Farm (10500 RT. 108, Ellicott City) Pumpkin patch and the farm are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last admission-closes at 5 p.m.) every day. There are hayrides and pony rides (both $2/person), a petting zoo, and an “Enchanted Forest” where children will find fairytale characters. Regular admission is $5/person. Phone:  410-730-4049

In Frederick County, Gaver Tree Farm & Pumpkin Patch (5501 Detrick Road, Mt. Airy) The Fall-Fun-Festival has a five-acre corn maze and many other activities for kids. For  $5/person on weekdays and $7 on weekends, guests can enjoy the festivities and catch a hayride to the pumpkin patch. Phone: 301-865-3515
