Ravens Visit Immaculate Heart For Ultimate Gym Class (VIDEO)

The Parkville private school won $10,000 to benefit physical education.

If you watch the Ravens play at M&T Bank stadium week in and week out, you know just how loud 71,008 fans can be. What you probably don't know is just how loud 500 kids can be when the Ravens show up at their school. (See video.)

The student body at on Loch Raven Boulevard gathered in the parking lot Tuesday morning, to greet Baltimore Ravens Ray Rice, Ricky Williams, Andre Gurode, Lee Evans and Torrey Smith. Despite the rain, they screamed at the top of their lungs, they danced with Ravens mascot Poe, and they chanted along to the opening chords of the White Stripes "Seven Nation Army", a new staple for Ravens fans.

The players were visiting the school because Immaculate Heart had won a contest sponsored by the NFL's Play 60 campaign by submitting

During an assembly for the entire school, Ravens players spoke about the importance of being active and fielded some questions from the kids. They also presented a $10,000 check on behalf of Play 60 partner Proctor & Gamble to school principal Amy Belz. The money will be used to benefit physical education at the school.

Ravens cheerleaders presented the student body with two XBox 360 video game systems equipped with motion-gaming control Kinect to use in their phys ed classes on behalf of Microsoft.

Additionally Miranda Evans, wife of Ravens wide receiver Lee Evans, presented the school with a $1,000 check made out by Protor and Gamble on behalf of the woman who helped make the contest win possible—Immaculate Heart mom Joanne McShalley.

McShalley, whose son Brian is an eighth-grader at Immaculate Heart, organized the photo that won the contest—herding 500 students to spell out R-A-V-E-N-S in just 20 minutes back in September.

After the assembly, about 50 students stayed on to participate in the "ultimate gym class" where they hula hooped, jumped rope, and ran relays with the Ravens players.
