Power Outages To Close 42 County Schools Monday
Friday night's thunderstorms have left the schools without power.
As a result of power outages caused bys, 42 Baltimore County public schools will be closed on Monday.
Although classes are not currently in session—summer school doesn't start until July 9—schools are staffed for those looking to enroll students and other activities, according to a news release from the school system.
Following the storms, 52 schools had immediately suffered outages but power has been restored to 10 of them, the release states. Baltimore Gas & Electric and the schools' ground crews are working to fix outages at the remaining schools and clean debris.
