Hairston To Celebrate Retirement at Valley Mansion

The outgoing superintendent is leaving the Baltimore County Public School system after a 12-year tenure.

Baltimore County Public Schools Superintendent Joe Hairston is commemorating his retirement with a dinner reception at Valley Mansion in Cockeysville on Friday.

Hairston is retiring after serving in the position for 12 years.

Guests invited to the program include former Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith, Rep. C.A. "Dutch" Ruppersberger and Sen. Kathy Klausmeier, according to a news release from the school system.
