'Whiz Kid' Named Softball Player to Watch
Hannah Thomas plays softball for Hereford High School and the Maryland Black Ice club team.
The Baltimore Sun is giving one some recognition.
Hannah Thomas, a 17-year-old senior at , has been chosen as one of the newspaper's 'Softball Players to Watch."
She currently plays shortstop for the Hereford High varsity team and third base for the Maryland Black Ice softball club team.

"I'm very excited for her," John Thomas, Hannah Thomas' father and a lieutentant for the Baltimore City Fire Department, told Patch.
John Thomas said his daughter plans to attend Hofstra University in the fall of 2012, possibly as a student athlete.

"[Hannah's] had a good run," John Thomas said. "Hopefully she can take it to the university level."
