Hunt Valley Engineering Firm Awarded County's New Directions Award

The award is given to a company that illustrates the future of the county's business community.

A Hunt Valley engineering firm was awarded the 2011 Baltimore County New Directions award, which honors a company that exemplifies the qualities of the future direction of area businesses, according to a news release. 

has been in business for more than 38 years and plans to add 40 jobs over the next four years, the release  states.

In addition, the company plans to consolidate more than 200 employees from Maryland and Pennsylvania into a new $27 million LEED (certified green construction) building at Schilling Circle in 2012.

"EA is a national company with strong Baltimore County roots," Baltimore County Executive said in the release. "Their commitment to growing here in the county is a testament to the county's engineering and scientific talent and spirit of innovation."
