Cockeysville Man Appointed to Commission on Arts and Sciences

Chris Norman, 26, was appointed by Councilman Todd Huff.

A 26-year-old Cockeysville lawyer was recently appointed to the Baltimore County Commission on Arts and Sciences by Councilman Todd Huff.

Chris Norman, who works for Shaw, Joseph & Just, P.A. in Hunt Valley and specializes in medical malpractice cases, grew up in Harford County but moved to Cockeysville in May. He was a resident of White Hall 11 months prior to the move.

"I'm proud to be given this opportunity," Norman said. "I'm a transplant to the area, but I am hoping to establish myself here. I've always been very involved in politics in Harford County and want to do the same here."

In this volunteer role, Norman said he would mainly be involved in allocating county funds for arts and science programs in the area.

"I want to do the things I can do to foster the arts and sciences," he said.

He added that his family has been friendly with for many years.

In a press release from the councilman's office, Norman is described as a "longstanding activist and will be a wonderful asset to this important endeavor."
