Business Scorecard: How Did Hunt Valley's Elected Officials Fare?

Two Cockeysville area legislators were given high marks by Maryland Business for Responsive Government.

Baltimore County Republican legislators scored higher than their Democratic counterparts in a ranking of business friendly votes cast in the 2013 General Assembly session.

But how did the legislators who represent Hunt Valley and Cockeysville fare? Better than many of their peers. 

Fifth District Sen. Joseph Getty, a Republican, outscored every other state senator from Baltimore County, receiving a ranking of 92 percent. Only two others, Sen. J.B. Jennings, a Republican (83 percent) and Sen. Bobby Zirkin (80 percent) scored higher than 57 percent, according to the report.

The lone Representative Hunt Valley-Cockeysville has in the House of Delegates, Del. Wade Kach, scored an 86 percent, good for seventh place among Baltimore County delegates. 

The grades are part of business scorecard of the 2013 Maryland General Assembly session released by Maryland Business for Responsive Government.
