Report: Cockeysville Resident Robbed at Gunpoint in Towson

A York Road bus stop was the scene of an armed robbery this week.

At 10:40 p.m. Sunday, a Cockeysville man was at a bus stop Towson, at the intersection of Yorkleigh Road in when a man came up to him and asked to borrow his cell phone, according to a report by Baltimore County police.

He refused and turned his back, but the man tapped on him, it states.

When the Cockeysville man turned around, he "thought he saw the barrel of a gun being pointed at him from under the suspect's hoodie," the report states. He handed over his cell phone and the suspect ran south on York Road.

The suspect is described as a 22- to 25-year-old black man who is 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, with dark skin, the report states. He wore a blue hoodie and black pants.
