Police Make Arrests in North County Burglaries, Car Break-ins

Police have arrested two individuals allegedly responsible for a recent spate of home and car break-ins in northern Baltimore County, according to acting commander of the Cockeysville Police Precinct Lt. Robert McGraw.

Baltimore County Police believe Harford County resident Jesse Hoopes, 34, is responsible for several burglaries in the Jacksonsville area, McGraw said.

McGraw could not provide exact locations of reported burglaries, citing an ongoing investigation. Hoopes, a resident of the 1600 block of Michelle Court, was arrested on Jan. 28 and charged with fourth-degree burglary and attempted burglary.

Hoopes has been arrested and found guilty of similar crimes in the past few years, online court records show.

Additionally, police have cleared 12 cases pertaining to thefts from automobiles, also in the Cockeysville and North County areas, McGraw said. Police have one suspect in custody.

McGraw declined to identify the alleged culprit, again citing an ongoing investigation.

The car break-ins were reported on Manor Knoll Court, Kincaid Road, Silversage Court, Hemlock Road and William Court.
