North County Crime: Three Men Charged with Attempted Burglary

Knollcrest Place, 600 block, 9:38 a.m. Oct. 10. Three men used a rock to smash open a glass window at the residence and attempted to break in, police said. A woman inside saw them and called police. Damon Campbell, Frederick Nichols and Keith Grant were arrested and charged with first-degree attempted burglary, police said.

Hyde Road, 18900 block, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Oct. 6. A stand with jewelry on it was reported stolen from a residence. Police said the burglar broke in through a rear door and also ransacked the master bedroom.

Lentz Road, 21300 block, between 8 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. Oct. 6. Two jewelry boxes containing jewelry were reported stolen from a residence. The burglar forced open a side entry door and also ransacked two bedrooms, police said.

Phoenix

Stockton Road, 2000 block, between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 8. A burglar kicked open the rear door at a residence and stole a Panasonic Blu-ray player, Dell computer, Samsung television, clothing and a safe containing papers and cards, police said.

Sparks

Western Road, 14600 block, between 6 p.m. Oct. 8 and noon Oct. 9. Someone tried to break into a barn. The latch was destroyed, but the suspect wasn't able to get inside, police said.

Monkton

JM Pearce Road, 16600 block, between 7:55 a.m. and 7 p.m. Oct. 7. A generator, weed-eater, boots, computer and hand tools were reported stolen from a garage at a residence.
