North County Crime: Armed Robbers Strike Cockeysville, Monkton

The following information was supplied by the Cockeysville Police Precinct. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

North Park Drive, unit block, between 9 p.m. Feb. 29 and 8:20 a.m. March 1. Three laptops were stolen from the desks of employees at A lock was discovered pried out of the front door.

Cranbrook Road, 500 block, 10:08 p.m. Feb. 28. A robber entered Quick Mart and pulled out a gun. He forced an employee to give him approximately $300 to $400 in cash from the register, and then ran from the location. Brian Calvert, 25, of the 10400 block of Cranbrook Hills Place in Cockeysville was arrested in connection with the robbery.

Monkton

Gerting Road, 16900 block, between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Feb. 29. Jewelry was stolen from the master bedroom of a residence. The front door was found kicked in.

York Road, 16900 block, between 1:35 and 1:37 p.m. Feb. 29. A robber walked into Admiral Cleaners carrying a garment bag. He then pulled out a gun and demanded money. After stealing an unknown amount of money, the robber fled southbound on York Road. The robber is described as male, 5-foot-7, 185 to 200 pounds, and 35 to 45 years old.
