(UPDATE 1:45 a.m.)—White Marsh Boulevard has reopened, the State Highway Administration reported Thursday after 1:30 p.m.

Traffic was congested due to lane closures on White Marsh Boulevard (MD Route 43) Thursday morning after a mudslide was reported.

It began at the beginning of the morning rush hour, according to WNEW.

One westbound lane was blocked in the area of White Marsh Boulevard between Dunfield Road and Belair Road, according to ABC 2 News, which reported Baltimore County police were at the scene after 6 a.m. directing traffic.

A flood warning was in effect for Baltimore County until 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service, which reported there was ongoing flooding throughout north-central Maryland, including at Gunpowder. Some parts of Baltimore County received more than five inches of rain during Wednesday's storm, according to unofficial reports from the National Weather Service.

On Wednesday afternoon, the deluge of rain caused a retaining wall to collapse in north Baltimore, causing several cars to slide onto the CSX tracks.

The State Highway Administration reported that Route 43 would be completely reopened by 2 p.m. Thursday.
