Police: 2 Arrests in Alpha Gold Exchange Robbery

The suspects allegedly crashed their vehicle on McCormick Road and attempted to flee on foot, according to police.

Police arrested two men who allegedly robbed Alpha Gold Exchange in Cockeysville on Thursday.

The men, one armed with a gun, entered the store, located in the 10800 block of York Road, at around 1 p.m., according to a news release from the Baltimore County Police Department.

The men confronted the store's employees and stole money and jewelry, the release states, before driving off in a Toyota Camry, which later crashed on McCormick Road, according to police.

K-9 and aviation units responded to the scene, as the suspects attempted to run away, the release stated.

One suspect was arrested in the parking lot of the Cockeysville police precinct and the other was tasered and arrested in a parking lot near McCormick Road, according to the release.

Police have not yet identified the two men, who remain in custody, police said.
