Parkton Boy Holds Knife to Schoolmate's Throat

Police said the motive for the attack may have been that the boy thought the schoolmate was having a relationship with his ex-girlfriend.

A 17-year-old Hereford High School graduate was arrested and charged with assault and intent to injure with a dangerous weapon following an altercation at a Parkton house party.

The Parkton boy approached his former schoolmate at the July 9 party around 10 p.m., held a large knife up to his throat and said "if you try anything, I will cut you up and kill you," according to a police report. The juvenile then put the schoolmate in a head lock and forced him out of the home, located in the 1700 block of Parsonage Road.

The boy then threw the schoolmate to the ground and punched him in the face before witnesses separated them, according to the report. The juvenile ran off in an unknown direction.
