Heavy Wind Causes Damage in Baltimore County

Power outages expected throughout today and tomorrow.

BGE announced today that they have restored service to over 25,000 homes which lost power as a result of wind damage. The outages were caused by trees and tree branches falling on power lines and other electric delivery equipment. BGE anticipates more outages today and tomorrow as strong winds continue.

According to the Maryland Transit Administration, light rail trains have been delayed 20 to 30 minutes between Timonium and Hunt Valley due to equipment problems. Shuttle bus service has been established from North Avenue to Lutherville, also as a result of equipment problems.
