UPDATE: Police Identify Woman Killed in Head-on Collision

A woman who was a Lutherville resident was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle crash on Beaver Dam Road.

UPDATE (9 p.m.)—Suzanne Natalie Selby, 62, of Lutherville, is the woman who died in the single-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in Cockeysville.

Baltimore County police said Selby, a resident of the unit block of Haddington Road, was killed after her 2003 Honda Accord struck a utility pole early Saturday afternoon.

The collision occurred in the southbound lane of Beaver Dam Road, approaching Texas Station Court, according to a news release Saturday night.

Multiple fire engines and medical personnel were called to the scene, which was near West Padonia Road.

Firefighters performed CPR on Selby, whose car was struck by a deer on the driver's side door, the release states.

Selby reportedly lost control of the car she was driving, it states. Her car careened across the northbound lanes and hit head-on into a utility pole on the northeast corner of the intersection of Beaver Dam Road and Texas Station Court.

The deer had to be "put down," the release states.

Onlookers at the nearby 7-Eleven watched as teams of firefighters fought to extricate the woman who was trapped in her car.

A Maryland State Police Medevac helicopter was called to the scene, but the woman was instead placed in the back of an ambulance, Patch observed.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Team is investigating.

It appears to me that this site was incorrectly used following the accident. All the information about the outcome of any accident should NEVER be put on a public site. Consideration for the loved ones of the deceased was not present here.
