District Court Dismisses Walmart Theft Case

Jennifer Lashe Ramsey-Williams, who is accused of stealing more than $15,000 from the store, may still face charges in Baltimore County Circuit Court.

The Baltimore County District Court dismissed charges Tuesday against Jennifer Lashe Ramsey-Williams, a former Cockeysville Walmart manager accused of stealing more than $15,000 from the store, but the case has been referred for review to the Baltimore County Circuit Court.

If charges are filed in circuit court, the Baltimore City resident faces more severe penalties, according to a representative from the Baltimore County State's Attorney's Office.

Video records showed unusual behavior by Ramsey-Williams, 41, between Aug. 16, 2011 and Sept. 16, 2011, which other employees said deviated from Walmart protocol, according to court records. The had been investigating cash shortages at the location, police said.
