CRIME : Police Arrest Teen for Attempted Burglary

The following information was supplied by the Cockeysville Police Precinct. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

English Run Circle, unit block, on July 24 between 12:01 and 10:40 a.m. Lawn furniture was allegedly stolen from the rear deck of a Sparks home. Police believe the resident's husband is a suspect. A restraining order has been filed against the suspect, online court documents show. 

Lord Byron Lane, 200 block, on July 22 between 9 and 9:07 a.m. A burglary attempt was foiled when the suspect encountered the resident at home. The suspect, a 16 year-old boy, fled on foot but was later found and arrested. The suspect allegedly entered through an unlocked door. Police believe the suspect is friends with the victim’s stepson. Nothing was stolen.

Barretts Delight Drive, 10400 block, between July 21 and July 22, between 10:30 p.m. and 3:07 a.m. A Sanyo television was stolen from a bedroom. The suspect entered the home by forcing open the front door.

Monkton Farms Drive, 1700 block, between July 14 and July 20, between 10 and 10:30 a.m. A pool table was stolen from Litton Loan Servicing, a mortgage loan company. There were no signs of forced entry.

Lentz Road, 21100 block, between July 19 and July 20, between noon and 7:37 a.m. Two pieces of six-foot copper wire were stolen and a barbed wire fence was destroyed at a BGE location.

Pot Spring Road, 2000 block, between July 20 and July 21, between 8 and 5 p.m. A washer, dryer and freezer were stolen from a vacant home. The suspect broke a rear window to enter and removed the appliances.

Sedgehill Court, unit block, on July 20, between 11:45 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. Various pieces of jewelry were stolen from the bedroom of a Lutherville-Timonium home. The suspect entered by prying open the front door, and ransacked the bedroom.
