The following information regarding police activity in Cockeysville, Hunt Valley and North County was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Cockeysville, Hunt Valley and North County were hit hard by burglaries last week—a not so great start to the new year.

There were nine reported burglaries in total, mostly related to automobile break-ins concentrated in one particular area. The earliest entry in the log saw a vandal knocking over 50 grave stone markers at a local church.

In addition to the burglaries, there were two armed robberies last week, although you'll have to check back with Patch later today for the details.
