Police Ask for Help in Fatal I-83 Crash Investigation

A ramp was closed for six hours after the rollover crash.

A Harford County man was killed this week when his tractor trailer went off the road near Hunt Valley.

William Behrens, 74, was on the ramp from Shawan Road to Interstate 83 south when when his tractor trailer veered off the left side of the road and overturned after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, WBAL reported.

A hazardous materials team was called in to assist with cleanup as a result of the crash, according to Fox 45.

The ramp was closed for six hours, according to WJZ, which said it was not clear whether snow was a factor.

Police were considering the possibility that falling snow may have contributed but were still investigating, The Baltimore Sun reported.

Officials asked anyone with information or who witnessed the crash to call Maryland State Police at 410-780-2700.
