Burglar's Note: 'I Took a Personal Check,' More Cockeysville Precinct Crime

The following information is provided by the Baltimore County Police Department. Charges do not indicate convictions.

A burglar alerted a Cockeysville resident of a crime he or she had committed.

Between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Sept. 15, a burglar came into an apartment in the unit block of Saint Elmo Court and stole a personal check.

The resident knew what was taken because the burglar left a note.

Cockeysville

Shawan Road. Unit block. At 12:17 a.m. Sept. 16. A burglar broke the glass on a rear door and, once inside the State Farm Insurance business, stole laptops and docking stations from desks and ran.

Padonia Road. Unit block. At 10:20 p.m. Sept. 13. A man stole a laptop computer, and a wallet containing cash, credit cards and a driver's license. The burglar is described as a black man ages 20-25, who is 5-foot-7 with a thin build. He wore a black bandana. He came in through an unlocked patio door.

David Court. 200 block. Between 10:45 p.m. Sept. 8 and 2:22 a.m. Sept. 9. A burglar forced open a back door, ransacked rooms and stole cash.

Lutherville

Sandee Road. 200 block. Between 8 a.m. Sept. 2 and 7:30 p.m. Sept. 16. Someone stole a gun safe, diamond ring, school ring, tennis bracelet and flat-screen TV from a home. The burglar got in through the back, sliding door, damaging the lock.

Railroad Avenue, 1400 block. Between Aug. 26 and 11:59 p.m. Sept. 9. A burglar came into a construction business' property and stole a Hilti Laser Range meter, a tool that measures distance. 

Padonia Road. Unit block. At 10:20 p.m. Sept. 13. A man stole a laptop computer, and a wallet containing cash, credit cards and a driver's license. The burglar is described as a black man ages 20-25, who is 5-foot-7 with a thin build. He wore a black bandana. He came in through an unlocked patio door.

Burton Ave. 1400 block. Between 2 p.m. July 13 and 9 a.m. Sept. 11. Someone stole a total of 45 feet of various copper wiring belonging to AT&T of Hanover, MD. There were no signs of forced entry.

Parkton

York Road. 17300 block. Sept. 13. A burglar cut a padlock to a storage container belonging to a construction company, and stole wiring.

Phoenix

Stanwick Road. Three residences in the 2400 block. At 4:22 a.m. Sept. 16. Thieves broke vehicle windows and stole items from several cars in this block. Stolen were gift cards, a laptop and an access key.

Dance Mill Road. 3900 block. Between 11 p.m. Sept. 9 and 7 p.m. Sept. 10. 
Someone stole eight antique, art paintings, one silver serving platter and a laptop computer. It's not known how a burglar got inside.

Timonium

Eastridge Road. 2100 block. At 12:44 p.m. A woman heard noises coming from the rear, basement door and saw a male running from her back yard. She also found that the rear window screen was up and the window latch broken.
