YOU TELL US: Where Were You When the Earthquake Struck?
Patch asks Cockeysville and Northern Baltimore County residents to tell us their accounts of an earthquake that struck the East Coast.
Where were you when a Tuesday afternoon earthquake shook up Cockeysville and Northern Baltimore County?
The , which originated in Mineral, VA, struck at 1:51 p.m. and sent tremors across the East Coast.
Hampden resident Christina Scime, who works for a private company in Hunt Valley, was at her office building.

"It was kind of scary," Scime said. "I felt shaking and didn't know what was going on. It was my first earthquake— I'm an earthquake virgin."
But others, such as White Marsh resident Cory Bender, who works for Medical Mutual Liability Insurance Society of Maryland in Hunt Valley, didn't even notice the tremors.

"I was driving from the office and the earthquake happened, but I didn't feel anything."
One vulnerable location -- Calvert Wine and Spirits in the Hunt Valley Towne Centre, with thousands of bottles on the shelves -- escaped unscathed.
"At first we thought it was a loud truck outside but then every bottle in the store started shaking," employee Aaron Mitchell said. But not one bottle was lost.
"It might have been different if we weren't on the ground level," said fellow employee Sam Nelson.
