Steeplechase Season Continues at Maryland Grand National

Event is the second major race of the season.

Steeplechase fanatics can expect a spectacular race and fun times when two major timber winners clash at the 109th Maryland Grand National on Saturday.

Across the Sky, the horse that won last year’s Grand National, will meet reigning Maryland Hunt Cup champion Twill Do. The Hunt Cup, which will take place this year on April 30, is considered Maryland’s premiere steeplechase race.

Other contenders to keep an eye on include Private Attack, who finished in second place in both last year’s Grand National and Hunt Cup, and Incomplete, a former Grand National winner. Incomplete fell while competing in the 2010 race and is looking for redemption this time around.
