Missing Monkton Horse Drowns in Neighbor's Pool

Junior, a 6-year-old quarter horse, was reported missing from a farm on Oct. 16.

A horse that went missing from a Monkton farm was found drowned in a neighbor's pool, according to Fran Burns of Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue, which assisted with the search.

Burns said it appears that Junior, a 6-year-old quarter horse , fell through the tarp over the pool.

Farm owner Gloria Finglass that Junior may have escaped when a tree fell on a fence in the property, leaving an opening. Finglass had also offered a $1,000 reward for its return.
