GRAB & GO KIDS PLANNER: Valentine's Day Activities, Dollhouses and Sports Legends

Check out Patch's fun ideas for families.

In the week ahead we have fun filled events that includes Valentine's Day activities for the young pre-schoolers to older teens, enjoying a quiet afternoon browsing dollhouse miniatures or a rousing evening celebration meeting some sports legends.  And for those budding princesses in your life, take them to meet some real live ones. You pick.

Where/When: Baltimore Museum of Art, Wed-Fri, 10AM -5PM; Sat-Sun, 11AM-6PM; Mon & Tues, closed

Why Go: Kids are absolutely fascinated with 'The Cheney Miniature Rooms' which are tiny tableaux of meticulously crafted dollhouse rooms. Stools are positioned around the room for little ones to climb onto and get a better view into these amazing rooms.

2. Valentine's Day Story Time 

Where/When: Towson Library, Saturday,  Feb 12, at 10:30 AM

Why Go: Take a break with your pre-school kids ages 2 to 5, and join the librarians for Valentine's Day stories, activities and crafts.

Pricing: Free but reservations required

 

3. Babe's Birthday Bash 

Where/When: Sport Legends Museum at Camden Yards, Friday, Feb 11, from 5:30 to 9PM

Why Go:  Come out and celebrate Babe Ruth's 116th birthday, browse the museum galleries, enjoy unlimited food and beverages, silent auctions, free parking, and appearances of professional and amateur athletes. All ages!

Pricing: $45 museum members, $55 non-members, $40 for a group of 10 or more, $60 at the door


4. "Gnomeo & Juliet"

Where/When: , Starts Friday

Why Go: Star-crossed gnome lovers overcome obstacles set by their feuding families. 

Pricing: $7.75 for seniors, $8 for children, $8.50 adult matinee, $10.50 adult 

 

5. Disney on Ice Princess Wishes 

Where/When:  Mariner Arena, Feb 9-13, various show times

Why Go: This is an event as magical as Tinkerbell's pixie dust!  An exciting and fun filled ice show featuring all the classic princesses- Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Mulan, and Jasmine. All ages will enjoy this fantasy on ice!
