Boston Marathon Bombing Victim Erika Brannock Returns Home

The Hunt Valley resident suffered serious injuries, including the amputation of her left leg, following the mid-April attacks.

Erika Brannock, a 29-year-old Hunt Valley resident who was seriously injured following the Boston Marathon bombings, returned home Monday after a 50-day hospitalization.

According to The Boston Globe, Brannock was the last of the bombing victims discharged from area hospitals. A Facebook support group for the Towson preschool teacher announced that she arrived in Maryland Monday to begin the next phase of her recovery.

Brannock was near the finish line at the marathon when the bombs went off. She attended the race to support her mother, who was participating for the first time.
