The DaLaVida Conference has an overarching theme and each day of celebration is geared towards a specific audience. Saturday, March 29th, is designed especially for young adults from the ages of 17-30. Young adults and their families and friends will gather at the Pabellón Multiusos Casa de Campo to participate in special events and activities throughout the day that will help them answer Our Lady’s call, like Juan Diego, and therefore Christ’s call to be Messenger Eagles. On Sunday, March 30th, families with children of all ages will gather together on this special day and take part in various Da La Vida activities, such as the screening of the film, speaker conferences, Mass and Consecration to Mary, the Holy Rosary, and more.

“We are thrilled to be able to screen this film in Madrid, Spain, and for it to be making its second international appearance in such a denominationally diverse and beautiful city.” said the film’s director, Tim Watkins. “Having this opportunity is confirmation for our entire team and staff, that by the grace of God, if we stay humble and dedicated to our work, we can really make a difference in our Church and in our world.”

A production of Hunt Valley, MD based Leo McWatkins Films in association with Renegade Productions  and recent winner of two Telly Awards, The Blood & The Rose – directed by Timothy Watkins (In the Face of Evil), with Executive Producer, Steve McEveety (The Passion of the Christ), and narrated by Eduardo Verastegui (star of the movies Bella and For Greater Glory) – tells the complete remarkable story of the spread of Catholicism in the Americas as inspired by the miraculous appearance of the Virgin of Guadalupe – Patroness of Life – to St. Juan Diego in 1531. Shot on location in Mexico and Spain, the film offers riveting interviews with top experts in the fields of science, history and theology, exploring the mystery of St. Juan Diego’s tilma and the miraculous image that it bears. Through the film and the reflections being offered at these spiritual events, Leo McWatkins Films hopes to deliver the message Our Lord delivered through the Blessed Virgin of Guadalupe, which calls out to and encourages each of us to raise up as the next generation of ‘messenger eagles’ and believers to answer the call to transform the modern culture with the Gospel of Life in imitation of St. Juan Diego. Throughout 2014, the film is scheduled to show 225 times throughout the United States to celebrate Mary and the inception of the Archdiocese of Baltimore 225 years ago. Additionally, this will be the film’s second international appearance, since its debut at 2013 World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro in July 2013.
