MARKETING AND SALES VETERAN DAVE MAHONEY JOINS RENEGADE COMMUNICATIONS AS VICE PRESIDENT OF DIGITAL STRATEGY AND MARKETING
Digital Marketing Strategy Expert to Drive Company’s Client Base and Sales
Hunt Valley, Md. – Renegade Communications, a 25 year old, strategic marketing, advertising, and communications firm, today announced that they have hired marketing and sales veteran Dave Mahoney as the company’s new Vice President of Digital Strategy and Marketing. Mahoney will help Renegade Communication’s clients use digital ad marketing - particularly in social media - to drive new customers and sales, develop digital strategies that leverage client branding to reach prospects and customers on a more personal level, and focus on the execution of integrated campaigns utilizing digital content that creates positive ROI for clients.
Prior to joining Renegade, Mahoney was Vice President of Digital and Direct Marketing for Borrowers First, Inc., a New York-based peer-to-peer lender, focused on helping consolidate loans to overextended consumers. In this role, Mahoney developed inaugural digital Facebook and AdWords campaigns and direct mail drops; helped secure funding from private equity partners based on the success of initial marketing campaigns; built a state-of-the-art website in conjunction with technology team; and lead marketing strategies and relationships in a high-volume lead generation deal.

Mahoney is a senior-level marketing and sales expert with over 20 years of experience in digital, ecommerce, and direct mail marketing. Prior to his work with Borrowers First, Mahoney filled many marketing and sales roles with eBay and its Bill Me Later and PayPal subsidiaries, Jordan Kitt’s Music, French Inspirations Catalog, Phillips Publishing, Inc., Bain & Company, Inc., and McCormick & Company, Inc. Throughout the years, Mahoney has acquired extensive sales and marketing leadership and success – primarily in digital, ecommerce, and direct response B2C and B2B firms - from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies with over $6 billion in sales.

Mahoney was awarded the 2012 President’s Club award at PayPal for outstanding marketing sales and digital product innovation that helped close a record $720 million total new payment volume in 2011. He also placed first nationally in the company’s 2010 Sales Summit C-level Selling Challenge. Additional accomplishments include the conception, development, and rollout of an innovative retargeted email campaign for PayPal; website presentment advances within eBay, Inc.; and extensive database match and email programs focused on driving incremental product sales through site conversion.
Additionally, Mahoney is currently a member of the eCommerce and Online Marketing Experts, the Social Media Marketing Network, and the Marketing Executives Networking Group (MENG). He also serves as fundraiser and translator for the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s Haiti Outreach Program in the town of St. Michel de l’Atalaye, where he helps educate and feed over 900 impoverished children in the Artibonite region, and as a Direct and Digital Marketing Advisor on Saint Paul Street Evangelization’s Board of Advisors. Mahoney received his B.S. in Business with an Economics minor from Frostburg State University, and MBA from Harvard. Dave currently resides with his family in the Hunt Valley, Maryland area.
