Adelberg, Rudow Attorney Robert Horne Becomes "Member" of the Firm

Baltimore (July 1, 2014) –Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler, LLC has announced that Robert M. Horne, Esq. was elected to “Member” status in the Firm.

 “Becoming a Member of Adelberg, Rudow is an exciting opportunity and a new challenge,” said Horne, who joined the Firm in 2005, after serving as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Orphans’ Court for Baltimore City. “I appreciate the Members’ confidence in me and recognition of my efforts, and I look forward to continuing to provide high quality service to our clients.”

Named a “Rising Star” in the estate planning and probate section of Maryland Super Lawyers in 2010, 2011 and 2012, Horne focuses in the areas of estates and trusts, tax and business transactions.  His practice encompasses wills, trusts, estate planning; estate/trust administration; probate and estate/trust controversy; business succession planning; tax planning, and general business and corporate transactions.

Horne’s clients include professionals and entrepreneurs at all stages of their careers, from start-up through growth, acquisition, succession planning and, ultimately, retirement and the transition of their business.

A founding member and former vice chair of the Bar Association of Baltimore City’s Estates & Trusts Section, he currently co-chairs the Maryland State Bar Association ‘s (MSBA) Wills, Estates & Trusts Subcommittee to the Special Committee on Voir Dire, Estates & Trusts and is active in the MSBA’s Business and Estates & Trusts Young Lawyers' Sections.

Horne also is a member of the MSBA’s Estate and Gift Tax Study Group and the Baltimore Estate Planning Council. Additionally, he serves as treasurer of the Campaign Committee for the Sitting Judges of the Orphans’ Court for Baltimore City and T-Ball age group coordinator for Towsontowne Youth Baseball.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in law and American civilization from Towson University, Horne earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law. A Severna Park native, he currently resides in Hunt Valley with his wife, their two children and two rescue dogs.
