What's Made In Hunt Valley?

Baltimore County's office of communications recently blogged about local manufacturers.

The economy is in recovery and, no doubt, manufacturing is part of the formula that helped to end the recession.

Have you ever wondered what's made right in the Hunt Valley-Cockeysville area? The Baltimore County office of communications recently wrote a blog highlighting some manufacturers in the county, and Hunt Valley is home to creators of everything from spices to cosmetics and even video games.

Of course there's McCormick, which produces all kinds of spices from cinnamon to nutmeg, in Hunt Valley; the company also is headquartered just up the road in Sparks.

Speaking of Sparks, Firaxis Games—makers of the Civilization series—is also headquartered there.

Back in Hunt Valley, Cover Girl cosmetics roll off the line Proctor & Gamble, according to the blog post.

The blog also highlights manufacturers of everything from horse shoes to concrete around the county from Middle River to Halethorpe.
