Patch Rivals: Barbecue Showdown!

Each week, Patch will pit two similar businesses against each other and ask you to choose your favorite.

Welcome to a new feature called Patch Rivals. In these weekly posts, I will select two similar businesses and ask Cockeysville Patch readers to choose their favorite.

Here’s how to play:

1. Create a free Patch login if you don’t already have one.

2. Visit the pages in our Places directory. This week’s contestants are and . (Click on the links to get to the pages.)

3. Tell us in the comments on the directory pages which barbecue restaurant is your favorite and why.

4. The one with the most reviews by next Thursday, Sept. 8 will be   declared the winner.

The Corner Stable, a longtime Hunt Valley staple, recently opened up a in Columbia. In our , Staci Wolfson described the restaurant’s ribs as perfectly cooked and said the meat was very tender. She was, however, disappointed that the sauce was watery and seemed to slide right off the meat.

Andy Nelson’s Barbeque is named after its owner, a former Baltimore Colts safety.  Stephen Kahn raved about the restaurant’s pulled turkey “Q” sandwich’s rich heirloom tomato sauce but said the sandwich was a little soggy.

Now, Hunt Valley residents, choose your winner. Who has the best barbecue?

Not really a fair comparison. One is a rather large eat-in restaurant with a full bar and the other is a much smaller operation altogether.

A little expensive but the ribs and chicken are worth it!

I have lived in Cockeysville all my life and the bes BBQ ribs, wings and more that I have found and I have been to them all is Charcoal Deli on Texas, they have a little place to sit down inside to eat some great food
