Hyde & Seek Consignment Moves to Cockeysville

Hyde & Seek Consignment Boutique, which specializes in childrens' products, recently relocated to Cockeysville from its original Hydes location.

"Business was doing very well and I needed to expand into a bigger store," owner Danielle Quattrocche said.

Quattrocche, a 39-year-old Phoenix resident, opened her Hydes store in March 2010 and started business in Cockeysville on Nov. 1.

"I've always loved boutique clothes and children, and decided why not open my own store," she said.

Quattrocche credits working at the Loch Raven Giant supermarket from 1993 to 2006 as instrumental in gaining experience as a businesswoman.

"I started as a bagger, then bakery, then cashier [and] then customer service," she said. "I kind of did everything."

She discovered the space at 10712 York Road while shopping next door at , which hosts furniture vendors, in July. There, she spoke with Brittany Johnson, who owns , a business that was previously located at the storefront.

Johnson said Shamelessly Simple into the Laissez-Faire storefront that is owned by her mother, Cathy Johnson. She offered the space to Quattrocche, who was already considering moving into a bigger space.

"I consider the Hydes store as my birthplace," Quattrocche said. "But I had wanted to expand for several months because the store was too small for the growing business."

Hyde & Seek provides clothing and other products for newborns to young teenagers and maternity. Clothing brands offered include Polo Ralph Lauren, Lily Pulitzer and Justice.
