Thousands Without Power in Baltimore County During Wind Storm

Windy conditions were accompanied by outages.

Baltimore County was under a wind advisory Wednesday night and for thousands of residents, power was out. BGE reported that 6,130 customers in Baltimore County were without power as of 8:51 p.m. Wednesday.

The bulk of the outages—upwards of 4,000—were in Pikesville and Owings Mills, while hundreds more were scattered across the county, including parts of Perry Hall, Towson and Catonsville, among others.

More than 1,000 BGE customers were without power in Anne Arundel and Carroll counties as well Wednesday night, according to the BGE outage map.

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for much of the state that remains in effect until 11 a.m. Thursday, during which time officials advised that falling tree limbs and outages are possible.
