Thousands of Baltimore County residents had lights go out earlier than planned Tuesday.

Approximately 14,425 BGE customers in Baltimore County were experiencing outages as of 10 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the utility company.

Winds of 61 mph were recorded at Martin State Airport at approximately 7:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service, knocking down trees and wires.

In White Marsh, there was a tree across the road in the 13400 block of Red Lion Road (near Bobby's Pottys), according to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company.

In Catonsville, Frederick Road was closed from Montrose Avenue to Seminole Avenue as of 8:40 p.m. due to poles and wires down, according to Baltimore County.

In Fork, a reader reported there was a large area filled with debris, along Sunshine Avenue, Glen Arm Road, Harford Road and Long Green Pike. "From the way the trees are snapped, there had to be a tornado touch down," Jodi Kresel of Fork said.

Baltimore County public safety crews were busy during and after the storm that rolled through much of the state.

At 7:35 p.m. on Tuesday, a teenager was reported missing from Rocky Point, requiring a water rescue, according to Baltimore County Police and Fire. The teen was located by approximately 9 p.m. near River Drive Road, officials reported.

Four kayakers who had been reported missing near Island View in Essex were also all located, public safety officials said after 9 p.m. Tuesday.
