After Rush Limbaugh issued an "apology" to Ms. Fluke claiming he used the wrong words and was trying to humorous, the next question should have been, What words should you have used?"
Russ was caught coming across the border with a load of Viagra and he was also a drug user at one time. He wants to see a video of Ms. Fluke’s involvements, so this places him in the pervert category. It’s time for Marylanders to place some heat on WCBM.
Romney spelled backwards is “Yenmor” and “ttiM” hasn’t made a statement that he can’t deny or back pedal on. Note, that he really has a feel for us commoners. Mitt too thought Russ used the wrong words and so Mitt, what words would you have used?
Thinking of the Catholic hierarchy, if altar boys could become pregnant, the use of contraceptives would be a sacrament.
Republican leaders refuse to place restrictions and regulations on large companies, big businesses, and oil conglomerates, but these same leaders don’t mind restricting couples in the bedroom. I wonder how many jobs this would cost in the contraceptive industry, considering about 99% of couples use some form of birth control. How come there has been no movement by the Republicans to ban vasectomies?
It’s ironic that those who are pro-life are also pro-capital punishment.
About 25% of girls are sexually molested or assaulted by a family member including their father; if any these girls become pregnant, Rick Santorum claims it should be viewed as a gift.
Franklin Graham is certainly not a “chip off the old block.”

There are always two sides to every story. What is incredulous about Limbaugh's remarks are not only the content but the fact that a man who espouses to his brilliance failed to recognize same in a lesson my father taught me a long time ago - think before you speak.
Speaking of the other side this link is an example of the double standard applied by the liberal media.

No outrage here, just laughs, however I give Bill Maher credit when coming to the defense of Limbaugh in regards to the double standard.

So, what is the other side? Are you trying to say Rush was correct? Pretend Rush was talking about your daughter or your wife and if you still believe there is a rationale for his outburst, seek counseling.

Ed, read what I wrote please. If you taught English, then at lest know the content of the sentence before espousing your viewpoint. I go through this all the time with people like you who don't take the time to read and comprehend the content of the comment. Your agenda is getting int the way of your thinking.
Your question was: "Are you trying to say Rush was correct?" My second sentence reads as follows: "What is incredulous about Limbaugh's remarks are not only the content but the fact that a man who espouses to his brilliance failed to recognize same in a lesson my father taught me a long time ago - think before you speak."
INCREDULOUS - http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/incredulous
What I AM SAYING is there is a double standard. It appears it is OK for someone on the left to make similar remarks while if the same MISTAKE is made on the right, it appears to be a different story.
The next time don't make such comments - "seek, counseling", before taking the time to READ, THINK AND THEN COMMENT! You look rather foolish when you don't.
Here is another link that might assist you in the comprehension of my comment.

Yes, you need counseling. Don Imus was fired for "nappy headed hoes," Jimmy the Greek was gone after questioning the intellect of black football players, an ESPN hiree was fired after the "chink" headline, Howard Cosell was censored after saying "look at that monkey go." It's time for Limbaugh to find a non-public position and if you are in anyway supportive of him, I feel sorry for you. "the other side of the story" is not Bill Maher, but Diane Fluke; what did she do to make Limbaugh to attack her? Russ Limbaugh, the big time Viagra user, requested to see videos of her sex life. Limbaugh, the rehabilited drugee, said her parents should be ashamed. Sandra Fluke had no pedestal nor a radio program to fight back and you honestly believe Maher and Sarah Palin and all the air time she gets is the other side of the story, again I say get educated and seek counseling.

She and the rest of the clowns that were there told bold face lies to advance a liberal agenda. Not only was the hearing a complete waste of time and money for the tax payers, it was a phony hearing that meant absolutely nothing. Anything said during that so called hearing can't and doesn't apply to the original real legal hearing because it had nothing to do with women and rights to contraceptives.
People like you want to act like you care and you know what's going on but you're the biggest heard of sheep that screws this country up. Please for all of our sakes, come down off your ivory tower and think for yourself and stop being distracted by the real problems of our country by your puppet masters that control everything you think and say.

I, also don't know where there is "another side" to what Limbaugh said. Ms. Fluke is not a public figure. She is a private citizen who testified on behalf of all women and their personal medical care.
This is not the 13th century. Birth control is legal, and is a responsible action on the part of every adult.
It was not only his use of "slut" and "prostitute" that made his statement so reprehensible, but his desire to put up a video of women's private moments for all of the public to see. "The taxpayers" are not asked to fork over a dime for birth control, it is a matter of health insurance, which is part of the employment contract between an employer and employee. I'm quite sure that there would be a different story altogether is men had to have to take care of birth control, but that's another line of thinking altogether.
At one time, Rush declared that all drug abusers should receive the death penalty, yet he lost his hearing because of overuse and abuse of oxycontin. He blathers on about "Family Values" yet has been married 4 times. He is a hypocrite of the highest degree, and yet his sheeple hang on his every word. The GOP is afraid to criticize his denegrating hatespeech.
Rush Limbaugh is on embarrassment to this country, and should be taken off the air. I have contacted many of his sponsors, and I hope he loses them all.
It's the least that should be done to try and save the reputation of America, and to support our wives, mothers, sisters and daughters.

This thread begs comment. Multiple college degrees and dictionaries aside, to suggest that there are two sides to the Rush Limbaugh controversy flies in the face of decency. No man can accept Rush's comments as defensible in any way, and to look for similar transgressions from the other ideology is incredibly shallow. When I see video of Ms. Fluke testifying I see a poised young woman clearly on her way to hitting the glass ceiling. Rush simply shows himself as one of the many men in our society who are afraid of being passed by on the success ladder by a member of the "fairer sex." I can't imagine what I would be doing right now if heard my daughter talked about on national radio by a bigot the likes of Limbaugh. Todd and Sarah Palin were able to defend themselves and their family before many of us even had time to react to what was being said about them.
As for the hierarchy of the church, even when I was a church-going Catholic, I had a hard time taking seriously the pronouncements about matters of sex from those who have chosen to be life-long virgins!
Rob

Maybe you should put some of those college degrees to use and see the distraction that they are using this issue for. It's funny how you never heard a single word about what Bill Maher said until Rush said what he said. Talk radio took advantage of this situation and exposed the left for their bias double standard when people that don't normally pay attention were. The result was an all time low for the drama queen we have in the white house.
Good job Rush!

You're right on this one; calling someone a slut doesn't even start to come close to what has been said about Sarah Palin and her family. Like when the left said her downs syndrome baby was really her daughters. Or that she's qualified to speak of Fox News because she has experience talking to a Downs Syndrome baby. Or that her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez during the 7th inning stretch. Tell me something - is going to a baseball game minding your own business a reason to attack someone? Just Saying!

Now we have three people that can't read. This is about a double standard as applied by the media and takes at least an 8th grade reading level to comprehend that.
Ed's comment: "Fluke had no pedestal nor a radio program to fight back ..."
What's this Ed, Romper Room? - http://www.youtube.comwatch?v=vwWNh_4QAAk
It's the U.S. CONGRESS!
Oh, Ed, Google shows a total of 28,200,000 hits on the Fluke topic. Does that qualify as the pedestal you speak about?
And here is why you have no clue to what you are writing about or attempting to articulate, because you don't read, comprehend or objectively have the ability to go beyond an agenda that makes you blind and rather foolish looking.
Ed's comment: "the other side of the story" is not Bill Maher, ..."
Are you suggesting it is OK for Maher to call another woman the C word? That's OK with you? You condone that? Did you bother to click on anything and actually read it?
Ed, do you know what this is? It's called an oxymoron based on your own comments. Read your first sentence. How many others did you bring into this issue? I count three that you allude to as being terminated, and they you turn right around and say Maher has nothing to do with this. Why, because he is a liberal?
And one last thing, quote my comment where I condone what Limbaugh said. I asked you to look up the definition of INCREDULOUS - http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/incredulous
I used those words to describe Limbaugh's comments.

Buzz, I can agree with you that Rush should have known better than to share what he really thinks about women, but now that we do know, should you or anyone else be defending him with the "two wrongs make a right" shtick? Rush is a clown, and he needs to take responsibility for himself here... although I seriously doubt he will, given his history.
There's no need for anyone to argue about it. Rush is clearly in the wrong and while he may feel entitled to speak his medieval opinions anytime he feels like it**, he should be man enough to stand up and face the consequences of his bullying of women, and of this one women he targeted in particular. Yes, he's just a mindless entertainer who's primary goal each day is manufacturing these sorts of controversies to generate ratings/income from the fools who listen to him, but that shouldn't buy him a free pass and a nod from us decent folks, should it?
Ethics aside, he's in trouble for all the money he just just lost for his bosses. The market has spoken... advertisers have left him... and what speaks louder than money these days?

Now here is an example of one in relationship to this topic.
http://americanvisionnews.com/2194/the-lefts-litany-of-hypocrisy-surfaces-after-limbaughs-slut-remarks
Stop thinking my comments are about Limbaugh. They are about another issue that as of yet, Darrell is the only one who comprehends the topic.
If I follow the logic of the majority of comments as long as I'm standing on the left, I can say what I want. In the link I listed how many of those comments ever saw the light of the main street media. Maher writes Obama a million dollar check and the president accepts it. If I can find the link that was shown on the S.O. Show last night on Fox, I'll post it and it show the hypocrisy of this entire matter.
I thought it was rather interesting that the White House cashed Maher's check while the president was speaking about his daughters growing up in a better place.

I think this effort to change the subject to the matter of "double standards" is just an expression of guilt - they know Rush was wrong (everybody knows it), but some folks see this as an opportunity to ask us to feel sorry for them/him - they want us to believe that it's an unjust world where Rush is unfairly punished, but where the people they dislike are getting away with their "name calling" - there's a liberal conspiracy afoot!!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victim_playing
Elaborate excuses and playing the victim won't change what Rush did. That's dead-end thinking, it's a way of avoiding and excusing the issue, and it's not productive. Complain all you want about what this "other side" you imagine is doing, but the free market is reacting the way a free market will - dumping the garbage and spending their money on something more worthwhile than that clown...

Next quote: "diverting attention away from acts of abuse by claiming that the abuse was justified ..." David, please think about what your are writing about, please. Don't play - gotcha - because if you are not adapt at it, you can look rather foolish. WHO CLAIMED LIMBAUGH'S REMARKS WERE JUSTIFIED!
This debate is about a double standard. How many times do I have to say that? Again, slowly this time - how many times do I have to say or ask where in the course of this issue have I said Limbaugh's comments were OK, or justified?
You people can't even look up the meaning of a word, the one I used in my first sentence in the opening comment I made.

Bart you are correct but are you familiar with the inquisitions of the Middle Ages when christian religious leaders sanctioned the executions of between 40,000 and 100,000 victims on suspicion of being witches?
Now applying the logic expressed on this topic do you conned the acts of that period by the Christians?

Of course not. These types of actions are never to be "condoned". But it was the style of the times.....before the enlightenment. And it was popular. Popular doesn't make right.
As a people we need to strive to rise above petty, and often popular hobby of bullying each other in order to fulfill our place in the universe.

Kevin,
Funny thing, the Dundalk rec provided no winning players before 1966 when I arrived at DHS and then they provided no winning players after I departed for UMBC. How Come? At DHS, from 1966 to 1973 I count as my fun years in education, the recreation supplied players won 73 matches lost 6 and tied 5, won four county and district championships and two state championships; and went 43 matches in a row without a loss. How come no championships came after that? My UMBC experience was just as much fun--the Retrievers had no winning soccer teams since they opened in 1966 and after I showed up they went seven straight years with winning teams and during that time UMBC Soccer won two Mason-Dixon championships went to to the NCAA playoffs and still have the best soccer season UMBC ever had when in 1977 they went 15 -2. Funny thing, the coach that followed me in to UMBC had 10 straight losing seasons. If you walk the halls in the UMBC gym, you can find my picture in the UMBC Athletic Hall of Fame.
And another thing, I had an a player who showed up to academically ineligible in 1971, had that not been so DHS would have won may six more matches at the time. I'll admit that I was not an all-soccer coach, but I knew a lot about winning. Now Kevin if you wish to continue this conversation, you're in over your head

While I do not find him funny and do not care for him Bill Maher is a comedian. I do not think his name calling of Palin was warranted or amusing but I do not think it can be viewed the same as Rush's comments.
Rush is not a comedian. He is a political commentator and a very influential Republican speaker. So his words are viewed much more critically than Maher's were and rightly so.
Now I know some conservative commentators and aanchors like to pretend there is no difference between what they do and what some comedians do and therefore they should both be held to the same exact standards but I think most logical people can see a difference.
Also this whole debate is silly. A public person said something stupid and his fans "argue" it or more likely distract from it by pointing out what someone else did. Its like children on a playground. He did it first, no he did.

It is they that are using this as a distraction to advance their agenda. Fortunately for America Rush Limbaugh has opened the eyes of millions of people that wouldn't have otherwise seen what is going on. This is not directed at you personally but If you don't like what he says or how he says it then don't listen. I personally like Rush Limbaugh and enjoy his show, I do not like people like Bill Maher or David Letterman so I do not watch their shows, nor do I watch anything on CNN, MSNBC, HLN, or anything political on CBS, ABC or NBC. I know that what I will get from them is fabricated to favor the left regardless of what democrat they are speaking of.

Rob, you're late to this discussion. Trouble climbing out from under that bridge?
