UPDATE: Police Identify Man Killed in Towson Area Shooting
Police believe the victim was shot inside an apartment in the 7000 block of Lachlan Circle.
(Update 2:04 p.m.)—Police have identified a man who was killed in a Sunday night shooting as 27-year-old Alsawab Sawab.
Police believe Sawab was shot inside his apartment in the 7000 block of Lachlan Circle, according to a statement from Cpl. Cathy Batton, a Baltimore County Police Department spokeswoman.
A resident who lives in the same block called police shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday to report that a man suffering from a gunshot wound was outside the caller's home. Police and fire crews found the man, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said in a statement Sunday night.
Police have ruled the incident a homicide and are continuing to investigate.

John, Ive been saying that till I'm blue in the face. I gave the people a choice in 2010 when I ran for council on the east side and lost. You get what you voted for.
The county's food stamp budget is up 500% since 2001. What's that tell you? We have become a sanctuary county and we are being destabilized.
The last census showed a large migration of poor immigrants into the county.

The Census said no such thing. The County's food stamp budget is up because the entire Country is in a Recession.
Maybe next time instead of the campaign slogan of "English Unties <sic> Us" your slogan should be "White Power"

Steve, California is bankrupted with the largest population of illegals in the nation. What's that tell you. You get fed three squares a day so why are you worrying?
I never said anything about race. I just asked a question a while back if you were doing time? I'm still waiting for an answer like always.
Since you refuse to answer a simple question what is one to think? If your here all day and night, when do you have time to work?

Hmmm...he was charged in 2008 with Perverted Practice however the case was nolle prosequi (meaning that it was not prosecuted). This DOES NOT mean that he ever did anything wrong. Someone must have accused him of whatever earned the perverted practice charge but, upon further investigation, the state's attorney either thought that there was not enough evidence to proceed, the original complaintant may have changed their story, any number of things may have led to the decision to nolle prosequi.

Is this what caused the traffic snarls in the area several hours later? I was so far back, I thought there was an accident when we were blocked from taking Joppa and Goucher. How sad that someone was not safe in his own home. My sympathy to his family.

The only good advice my father ever gave me was when he told me, thirty years ago, not to buy a house in Baltimore County. He said that it would end up becoming an extension of Baltimore City. I didn't listen. He was right.

Baltimore City has over 200 homicides, Baltimore County 15-20 (dont know the exact number). I do not see the extension. This County is much safer than the City.

@GraceB,
I don't know where you would move to in order to live a life free of crime, but here is some really good advice. Buy a gun, and learn how to use it to protect yourself inside of your home. I recommend a Remington model 870 12 gauge pump shotgun with 000 buckshot loads. The sound of this gun being racked closed is one of, if not, the most recognizable sounds to criminals. Once they hear it, the next sound you will hear is "feets, don't fail me now!" If, on the other hand, you hear nothing, then the intruder is probaly high on PCP or some other drug and a couple of 12 gauge shots to the chest will give him/her on a one-way ticket on the express train to meet Jesus. And, you will be safe. Unless you intend to develop some serious shooting skills with a handgun, don't buy one. If you do opt for a hand gun, then don't buy a pea shooter. Get a reliable semi-automatic and fill it with.45 ACP caliber Federal Hydra-Shock ammunition and you will be ready for anyone or anything that intends to do you harm. You must develop the warrior attitude. Which is, if you intend me harm, then you, not I, will pay with your life.

Yeah if random shootings were happening all over Baltimore County this would make sense, but since they really aren't...My advice would be to not associate yourself with turd types. Stay away from turds, stay away from turd crimes.

There is not doubt that there is "city crime creep" including murder, but Baltimore County has an excellent Police Force. The Baltimore County State's Attorney works closely with the Baltimore County Police in being proactive in ferreting out criminals and prosecuting them.
The Carney Improvement Association has had joint presentations from the State's Attorney and the Parkville Precinct Commander. They are serious about stopping and prosecuting crime to the fullest extent of the law.

The racist comments that continue to persist on this site never cease to amaze. Perhaps Grace B., you should buy an island and buy soccer ball (draw a face on it) and use it as a friend. Crime is in every where. Be they burglaries, murders, or whatever. Many of them caused by family members or people you know. Statistics show less crime comes from people travelling distances to commit them. Perhaps you will remember the local WHITE radio and tv broadcaster who broke in his elderly
white neighbors house and stole Oxys. He madame lived next door and that was in your area.

Hey Darnell, not a single one of the previous comments mentioned race, only the criminal element creeping like a fungus from Baltimore City into the county. YOU are the first poster here to mention race and to assume that people are referring to a particular race since Baltimore is mixed. Guess what, Darnell, that makes YOU the racist here! How's it feel!

People aren't "fleeing" the city. That's what scared old white people who never even set foot in the City like to keep telling each other. It's that whole "Fear the Brown Man" phobia they have.
In actuality, according to the last census some neighborhoods have had increases in population of 20% or more.

When commenting on anything you should take time to think about the family that lost a loved one and be a little more sensitive. Go blog something you know not what you think, opinions are not needed when it comes to a loss.

Sawab was a wonderful man and a wonderful father! I loved him with every part of me! We all make mistakes in life, but God should always have the final say. No one deserves to die against Gods will and the person who did this will reap the benefit of the seed they choose to sew. Every thing I used to do with him I'll have to learn to do alone. For some of us, this is not about race, sin, his past or the neighborhood, this is simply about losing someone we loved very much and now trying to figure out how to move on without him...so if any of you have any decency, wish his family your condolences and say a prayer that God continue to protect your family and cover the neighborhood he was killed in.
I love you Sawab aka "my Aladdin" ...my heart aches for you and I don't know If I'm capable of loving anyone else the way that I loved you baby. Rest in Paradise and visit me in my dreams!

While im sorry to his family and those that knew him.. He was a drug dealer. Everyone saw randos walking up to his door and leaving very shortly after, and everyone noticed him peeking out the window when they pulled up to the building. I'm honestly relieved the sketchiness and potential danger he was putting each resident through is over now. He and his family were not the only ones that called this building home and to bring dirty business into the place that other people call home is disrespectful as hell and pretty disgraceful too.

YEAH - well said Jj. So many people are afraid to stick up for themselves - and fail to treat themselves with the self respect they desire. No one should worry about someone else creating a dangerous atmosphere - and drug dealing brings just that problem. That resident was a scourge to the building. Now everyone can breathe easy and enjoy their home !

Since the deceased Sawab was a drug dealer, I guess it would be accurate to assume he was shot by either another drug dealer or some scum he was selling drugs to. None of this is about race--it's about crime! No matter how much the deceased was loved by his family, or what a great guy he was, he was a CRIMINAL attracting scum into our county. And--drug addicts are not human. They'll kill anyone in their way if then need a fix.
