Readers' Choice Winner: The Milton Inn

The Sparks eatery trumped the competition in the Mother's Day brunch spot competition.

Although votes were few, The Milton Inn claimed victory in Patch's Readers' Choice contest for the best Mother's Day brunch spot in the Cockeysville area.

"That's wonderful news," said Phyllis Huff, office manager at the Sparks restaurant, after Patch informed her of the win.

A unique feature of The Milton's Inn's brunch is the $38 three-course prix fixe menu. Children under 12 can receive an entree and dessert for $19.

In addition to the traditional menu items, the eatery is also offering Mother's Day specials such as creamed chipped beef and biscuits, tomato and goat cheese tart and chilled gazpacho.

"Everything is really good," Huff said.

The Milton Inn is a critically-acclaimed restaurant that recently received the prestigious International Star Diamond from The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. In addition, executive chef Brian Boston was honored as the Restaurant Association of Maryland's chef of the year in 2011.
