CRIME LOG: 2 Mays Chapel Condos Robbed, Ridgely Middle Vandalized & More
The following information regarding alleged criminal activity in Lutherville-Timonium was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Two Mays Chapel area condos were robbed last week. In one instance, the burglar actually climbed to the second floor balcony to pry his or her way inside.
Guns, among a host of high-priced valuables were stolen at each location.
Elsewhere in Timonium, a vandal left an unpleasant etching in front of a middle school and protesters took a stand against abortion at a local high school.
Just to clarify, Patch is aware that protesting—especially peaceful protesting—is not a crime. Patch lists public demonstrations in the crime log because police note them in their incident reports. Also, explaining what happened in this forum may answer the questions of passersby who saw police and protesters together outside of a high school.

Crime Log
Elphin Court, unit block, between 2 p.m., Feb. 15 and 5:30 a.m., Feb. 17. A burglar broke into an apartment and stole three television sets, a shotgun, a rifle, three Apple iPad tablets, and three black leather jackets. The intruder pried open the rear sliding glass door to get inside.
East Ridgely Road, 100 block, between 5 p.m., Feb. 15 and 2:15 p.m., Feb. 16. A vandal used a loose brick to carve a swastika in the concrete bus loop in front of Ridgely Middle School.
Glenamoy Road, unit block, between 4:45 and 8 p.m., Feb. 15. A burglar climbed to the second-floor balcony of a condominium building to break into one of the units. The thief pried open the front glass sliding door and stole a 42-inch television set, laptop, Samsung cell phone, and jewelry. The burglar left through the front door.
East Padonia Road, 200 block, between 7:20 and 8 a.m., Feb. 13. Three members of the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform conducted a peaceful anti-abortion demonstration on the sidewalk in front of Dulaney High School. The protest lasted about 40 minutes.
Deep Dale Drive, 200 block, 9 a.m., Feb. 12. A homeowner discovered her downstairs bathroom window open and dirty shoe tracks on the bathroom toilet and floor. Thinking the tracks belonged to her husband, the woman delayed calling the police until her husband came home. The husband called police who conducted a search of the home. Nothing was reported missing. No further information is known at this time.

i feel like I am living in a third world country! The problem is that many of these guys get caught and dont even serve! now we know why people buy guns and blow these criminals away...What is really sad is that these scum put OUR lives in danger (if we run into them while they are robbing they might kill us!)-- and they get probation! I work at night from my home near lutherville elementary off of york rd and this guy on sat night was trying to kick down my basement window as i was typing! The cops told me that if they caught him they could not charge him for more than destruction of property! Next time i will wait till he comes in and teach him what the 2nd amendment means...people take justice into their own hands because of this crappy criminal justice system.

I agree. It is criminal justice in every sense of the word. Definitely not victim justice. The criminal has far more rights than a person placed in harm's way. Then if a victim retaliates, he will be victimized again by being charged for a vigilante crime of some sort. If the guy returns to your home, let him come all the way in and take him out. Make sure you get him in the front. Because yes the law says if he tries to escape, we the victim are supposed to let him, so shooting him in the back would make us "the victims" wrong. Complete nonsense.
